Tomorrow is your final for US History. I have attached a completed studyguide. Take a look. Hope it helps. When you study: Studying is not measured in TIME it is measured by KNOWING the material when you stop studying. Tuesday they are also asked to read Chapter 16-4 and 16-5. You may do this tonight if you choose. BUT, Friday's info is in the blog entry before this one. Today while some went to Kings Island, we continued with our work. We used this time to extend knowledge. We looked at Camp Douglas. We also talked about the Battle at Ft Sumter and how it started and that it was the where the first shots were fired during the Civil War. Charleston, SC. We continued with information about Johnson County, Indiana's involvement when Lincoln asked for 75,000 troops. Billy Davis, from Hopewell Indiana went to volunteer at the court house in Franklin. Here is the excerpt from the Civil War Diary of Billy Davis talking about the initial mustering in of soldiers and who they would not take. Finished the video. Used the paper to answer the questions below on the attached document. They can bullet the last one and write a 1-2 sentence summary of those techs and how they impacted the war/Union victory etc.

It is postponed until Friday. we started watching a video called America The Story of US: Civil War. Attached is not only the filled out part of what we did today, but also the worksheet that was assigned as well. Please be sure that your papers are done, and your video worksheet reflects this information for tomorrow. We will finish the last 25 minutes of the video tomorrow, and discuss "How did technology effect the Civil War as far as death toll and moving supplies, troops and communications tomorrow after the video. There will be a short writing prompt, hopefully due at the end of the period. If not, it will be homework. |
