We played a fun game of vocab pictionary today. this was to review the people and key terms of the chapter.

They need to start studying for the Chapter 15 test on Friday. they should have most of the answers to the practice test today, and the rest tomorrow.
we took the 15-1 quiz today.
We introduced 15-2, Bleeding Kansas by group reading and group discussion of some True/False questions. I did ask that they make themselves familiar with the vocab and people of 15-2 this eveing. We will focus on that and the material tomorrow. QUIZ FRIDAY OVER 15-2 Today we graded the 9 question vocab worksheet. We did the bell ringer that was focused on vocab for 15-1.
The assignment is to do a Vocab Chart. Here are the directions. It has a BLUE background. Directions. The other is the Bell Work. Our focus is going to be on how Sectionalistic beliefs on slavery will lead to causes of the Civil War. they will need to be able to discuss this (or talk about it) by Wed of this week. Possible quiz. Took test over Chapter 14 today.
They received a vocab worksheet for Chatper 15-1 and they are to read 15-1. Starts on page 476. Wrapped up Women's Movement
Began our review for Chatper 14. It has been almost a month since we talked about section 1 and 2. We reviewed those today with this power point. They were given the practice test today as well. It is due on Thursday. TEST FRIDAY. We reviewed Ablolitionist Movement and did an activity that would allow the students time to understand the Women's Rights movement and the important people involved..
Here is a link to the activity/homework. Notes for 14-5 The goal today was to discuss their answers to the worksheet packet in small groups. We did that. The last 10 minutes of class were used for a quick intor to out guest speaker for tomorow. he will be here gor his 11th year doing his Blues in the School Program. He will be our "Artist in Residence" for two days. That would be Thurday and Friday. the students get alot out of this program. They love it.
