TEST OVER CHAPTER 3 TOMORROW. KNOW YOUR STUDY GUIDE!!!! THAT IS THE MAIN THING TO STUDY. YOU CAN DO THE QUIZZLETS I HAVE MADE. ACCESS THROUGH GOOGLE CLASSROOM. See Friday's post for the document: The study guide is due tomorrow.
TEST WED! Went over the Enlightenment and the Great Awakening today. All the information is on page 94 and 95. These are the actual page numbers not to be confused with what it says in the folders. It is in Chapter 3 Section 4.
I have posted the Chapter 3 study guide on here and on classroom if they want to get an early start to it. I will hand out the hard copy on Monday. It is due, done, on Tuesday the 22nd. We will play a review game on Tuesday, August 22nd. We will take the test on Wed August 23rd. chapter 3 Studyguide paper for the Enlightenment and Great Awakening Today I gave the kids PLENTY of class time to work adn ask questions about the Colonies worksheet that was passed out yesterday. IT IS DUE TOMORROW FOR 20 POINTS. I encouraged them to totally retype it into a google DOC to not only check their work but to also make sure they understand what they wrote AND to have a backup incalse they are out with the family and need to study, OR if they lost the hard copy. That way they can still turn it in. The kids need to READ/LISTEN to Chapter 3 section 4 tonight. It will review the Triangle Trade, Middle Passage and talk about The Enlightenment (science and reason to solve society's problems) and The Great Awakening ( an increased awareness and practice of religion). They should make note of what both are and people who were involved in the movement. This way we can go over that bit of info more easily and have time to do some more review for the test coming up on WED AUGUST 23, 2017. OPTIOINAL BUT RECOMMENDED: Take some time to do the Google Form that is a type of review. It has pictures and all that good stuff. Anything I can do to get that information in their heads, so they can show me they UNDERSTAND the colonies, colonial regions, ways each area made money, founders, reasons for founding the conlonies, examples of each, cahs crops, staple crops, who grew or did what, Enlightenment and how it influenced colonial thought and the Great Awakening and how it influenced colonial thought and religion in general here in the 13 colonies. How about that for an objective! :-) Try it without notes first, then go back and see how you did by showing the results. Then click on the "COPY" of the Google form to try it again without having anythig open and see ifyou improve. Keep doing this until you nail it. It could be a good measure for how well you will do on the test. TOMORROW I will also introduce how to use Storyboard That. They are going to LOVE this program. They can use this to show understanding without a traditional quiz or test or any type of formative (kind of like a bench mark to see where the are in the learning process) or summative (outcome of their leaning at the end of a chapter, and EL) PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS MUST HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION, SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE WI-FI, IS IT POSIBLE FOR THEM TO GO TO A RELATIVE'S HOUSE OR NEGHBORS HOUSE OR THE PUBLIC LIBRARY TO DO THIS? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP WITH THESE THINGS. WORKSHEET
